Nawa History Nawa is a Finnish manufacturer of marine equipment.
All products are designed to perform in the demanding marine
environment, and above all to make boating safer and easier.
The company behind the Nawa brand, K.Hartwall Oy Ab, was
founded in 1932 in the Finnish archipelago in Gumbostrand
Sibbo. Already in the early days, metal wire was the preferred
material. As the owners as well as most of the personnel were
keen boaters, they soon started to think about making their
own products to make boating easier and safer.
In 1980 the Nawa brand was born, and soon these products
were available also on foreign markets. The best known product
by far, is the versatile fender basket system with the patented
connector. Today the Nawa products are available in all major
boating markets, with Europe and USA being the most important
export countries.
